Der HP 4140 B ist eine kombination aus
  1. Pikoamperemeter und
  2. Gleichspannungsquelle.

Er enthält ein extrem stabiles pA-Meter und zwei programmierbare Gleichspannungsquellen, von denen eine auch als Rampen- und Treppensignalgenerator eingesetzt werden kann.
Das 4140 B ist ein ideales Gerät zum Messen von Halbleiterparametern wie z.B.
  • Leckströmen,
  • Strom/Spannungs-Kennlinien oder
  • quasistatischen Kapazität-Spannung- (C-V)Messungen.
Er ist besonders geeignet für Entwicklung, Produktion und Qualitätsüberwachung von Halbleiterbauelementen.

Messbereiche:
  • Strom:
    ± 0,001 x 10-12 A bis 1.000 x 10-2 A
    (jeweils Bereichsendwert) in 11 Bereichen
  • Kapazität-Spannung (C-V):
    0,0 pF bis 100,0 pF und
    200 pF bis 1000 pF Bereichsendwert (automatische Bereichswahl)
Gleichspannungsquelle:
  • Spannungsbereiche:
    0 bis ± 10,00 V und
    0 bis ± 100,0 V (nur automatische Bereichswahl)
  • Stromgrenzwert:
    10 mA, beide Quellen

The HP 4140 B pA Meter / DC Voltage Source consists of an extremely stable picoampere meter and two programmable voltage sources, one of which operates as a ramp and staircase generator as well as a DC source.
These features make the 4140 B ideal for measurements of leakage current, current-voltage characteristics and quasi-static capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements.
It is ideally suited for development, production and quality control of semiconductor devices.
